Advantec Internet Services Ltd is a website design, programming and marketing company - based in Southampton, Hampshire.
Working with clients in all sectors - and of all shapes and sizes - we specialise in the design and build of content managed websites, development and programming of advanced websites and online software applications, e-commerce websites, website hosting services and internet marketing.
The aim of our company has always been to provide a 'premium' service - employing the best people to provide the best service - and, in a market where clients have a wide choice of web agencies, to provide something above and beyond what the competition can offer.
We are able to offer the full range of online business services completely in-house - from creative design through technical / software development - and online marekting and search optimisation.
Nowadays, we are chosen by local businesses - and by multinationals alike. Clients range from the likes of Longdown Activity Farm to the National Health Service. Many are based on or around the south-coast, several are based UK-wide.
Our exceptional strength in development and programming of complex web-based software applications means we're regularly chosen to develop complicated systems and websites that few other companies have the in-house expertise to provide.
Our growth so far has come entirely naturally and has been totally down to performance. The company is privately owned by the current directors, has been profitable since day one, is completely self-sustaining and has always been 100% debt free.
Our Company History
2003: The current Managing Director (Andrew Brittain), having worked in a variety of web development and marketing jobs for large and small companies in the south, begins working as a freelance web developer alongside his full-time employment
2004: With an increasing freelance workload, Andrew began to make plans to leave full-time work and go it alone completely. The company 'David Andrews Internet Services' is formed.
2005: The decision to leave full-time work is taken out of his hands, when Andrew loses his job - taking the opportunity to join forces with friend and former work colleague Luke Sanderson - who is now Technical Director.
2006: As workload increases, the client-base expands - and the company's first employee - Matthew Freeman, who is still with us today as Senior Front End Developer, is recruited. The company rents a small office at the Southampton Regus centre.
2007: The company moves to a larger permanent office in Bursledon, Southampton - recruiting additional staff
2009: Growing in numbers even further, the company rebrands and re-names to the far snappier sounding 'Advantec'
2010: A move to larger premises is needed - and the company relocates to its current offices at Oslands Court, Swanwick. Despite being in the midst of an economic downturn, the company has doubled its turnover year on year.
2011: New faces at Advantec during 2011 have included Lee, Natasha, Dan, Alex, another Mathew and Nicole - and the current office is almost full! New clients have included the NHS, the Universities of Southampton and Kent, Longdown Activity Farm and Kinetico Inc.
The future: We are striving to become the number-one web development agency in the south of England - and doing so by offering an unrivalled service to clients of all sizes. We think we're almost there (by some measures, we already are) - with a forumla that combines design creativity with technical brilliance and powerful marketing abilities.
