Advantec is a website design, development and marketing company - based in Southampton, Hampshire. We are a relatively small but experienced team, specialising in four key areas of expertise - the design and build of content / information-based websites, technical development and programming of advanced websites and online applications, e-commerce websites and online retail strategies - and internet marketing. E-commerce: Building websites suitable for selling products online requires a greater level of expertise and specialism than providing standard websites. We have years of experience developing e-commerce strategies and sites - providing a full service including design, usability, testing, hosting, security and marketing. We are equipped to provide serious, substantial e-commerce sites that generate £millions in revenue for our clients - setting us apart from other web companies who simply treat e-commerce as a 'bolt-on' service to their standard web design offering.
Web development and programming: Modern-day web programming languages enable websites to perform some extremely advanced and valuable functions - above and beyond simply displaying information and content about a company. We have our own team of in-house web developers and programmers who specialise in advanced programming of web-based applications and online software. Whether it's integrating databases, building accounts systems, integrating live video streams, building online calculators or booking sysmtes, we have the expertise available in-house to do it all - with a range of programming languages including C# and VB ASP.net, PHP and Adobe Coldfusion.
Web design and content management: Despite the prevelance of e-commerce and complex web development projects, the bulk of the web is still comprised of lead-generation, content-based websites. We have talented in-house designers who can take any company in any industry and develop an impressive, professional web presence. And all our sites feature content management systems enabling the client to update their own sites themselves, with no technical web expertise required.
Search engine optimisation and marketing We have an extremely strong team devoted to SEO and online marketing - with Google AdWords qualifications and years of experience getting clients' websites to the very top of the search engines. We are devoted to ensuring all our websites look good, work well - but most of all, drive visits, leads, sales and revenue for our clients - and at the heart of this is our SEO service.
Our company history
Advantec Internet Services Ltd was started in 2003 - by Andrew Brittain (the current Managing Director). As with many businesses, it began as a back-bedroom operation, with Andrew building websites for clients along side his full-time job as an e-commerce marketing professional. It was not long before it became clear there were more opportunities running his own business than working for someone else - and after taking the plunge to work on the business full-time, the company began to grow rapidly.
It wasn't long before a team of people began to build - as business took off and staff - all experts in their own fields - were needed. The company has always been a 'premium' service provider - and each member of the team is an experienced expert in the field - be it design, programming or marketing - ensuring we are well-placed to offer the best possible level of service to our clients.
Today, the Advantec team operate from two well-equipped, modern offices - the HQ at Swanwick in Southampton - and a smaller regional office in Richmond, London. We are still a smaller, specialist company - but with the right people, expertise and track-record to work with clients of all sizes - from one-man-band sole-traders to multinational household brands. The company has been a profitable self-sustaining enterprise since day one, with no history of debt - and is privately owned by the current directors.
